Dear M1 friends and family members,
It seems that in today's culture, especially at Christmastime, it
is easy to get caught up and carried away with material gifts,
both given and received. Everything around us tells us that we
need and want what goes under the tree. We all know better, but I
think it's easy to forget in the hustle and bustle of it all.
Paul tells us in Romans 6:23 that, “. . .the gift of God is
eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” While a new sweater or
flat screen TV may look nice under a tree and be fun to open,
nothing compares to what God has given us! As we prepare to
celebrate the birth of our savior, I pray that the distractions of
commercialism don't distract us from remembering and focusing on
this priceless gift.
It can also be challenging to put aside that to-do list and just
spend time with loved ones. The perfect gift or perfect meal are
not what we'll remember and treasure later. The most important
thing we may do this season is simply spend time with family and
friends and create memories.
We wish you and your family a holiday season full of good friends
and memories, along with great anticipation of the new year. May
all of the joys of the season be yours!
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. . .”
(James 1:17)
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
M1 Management Team
(Bill, Woody, and Jon)
